CalFresh – SNAP (Food Stamps)
The region’s high cost of living makes it difficult for individuals and families to make ends meet. Income eligible individuals and families can get help buying healthy food through California’s CalFresh Program, federally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or food stamps.
Office of AIDS Center for Infectious Diseases (OA-CDPH)
OA works collaboratively with state and federal agencies, local health jurisdictions, universities, and community-based organizations to ensure that efforts to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic are targeted and effective.
Mama’s Kitchen San Diego
Mama’s Pantry is for low-income HIV/AIDS individuals who are well enough to shop and cook, but need occasional nutrition support to maintain their health and stretch their food budget. This establishment offers Food Resources and Nutrition Services.
North County Resource Center (NCRC)
CRC works to end hunger, homelessness and domestic violence in North County San Diego. As a provider of integrative services, CRC’s programs include a domestic violence emergency shelter, hotline and prevention/education outreach, a Therapeutic Children’s Center, professional counseling, legal advocacy, food and nutrition distribution center, homelessness prevention and rental and housing assistance. All of CRC’s programs are designed to assist participants to successfully navigate their paths of safety, stability & self-sufficiency.
Special Delivery
At Special Delivery San Diego, we do more than provide food! We nourish each client through our three programs with love. Our home-delivered meals are custom-tailored to each person’s dietary need. Our pantry has become a “nutrition pantry” providing over 800 families monthly with dairy, produce, meats, breads and shelf-stable foods. And our diabetic program provides diabetes education, food demonstrations and plenty of diabetic-friendly foods. Your donations and volunteer hours for Special Delivery support better health and optimum nourishment for those most in need in our community.
UCSD Owens Clinic San Diego CA
The Owen Clinic embraces a whole-person view of HIV care. Our multi-lingual, culturally competent providers and staff are dedicated to serving the region's diverse community and improving LGBTQIA health care including mental health, nutrition, drug and alcohol counseling, case management, financial counseling, living well with HIV. Special clinics for women, children, youth, and young adults.
