Because HIV/AIDS affects everyone, Christie’s Place is dedicated to fulfilling our promise to successfully support and serve our clients and community. We maintain an underlying principle of hope and instill a sense of empowerment to all of our clients.
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) San Diego
The National Alliance on Mental Illness in San Diego (NAMI San Diego) is the community’s voice on mental illness. We are a part of grass-roots, nonprofit, national NAMI organization, and also an affiliate of NAMI California. NAMI San Diego was founded in 1978 by family members of people with mental illness.
National Resource Center (NRC) on HIV & Aging
The growing aging adult population living with HIV is testimony to the effectiveness of HIV treatments which give the promise of a long life. Older adults, including Long Term Survivors, now dominate the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the USA. Like everyone else, these over 50 and over 55 adults are developing the near inevitable illnesses associated with aging – heart disease, diabetes, cancers, kidney disorders, osteoporosis, dementias and more.
North County Resource Center (NCRC)
CRC works to end hunger, homelessness and domestic violence in North County San Diego. As a provider of integrative services, CRC’s programs include a domestic violence emergency shelter, hotline and prevention/education outreach, a Therapeutic Children’s Center, professional counseling, legal advocacy, food and nutrition distribution center, homelessness prevention and rental and housing assistance. All of CRC’s programs are designed to assist participants to successfully navigate their paths of safety, stability & self-sufficiency.
San Ysidro Health Center (SYHC)
HIV / AIDS Services
San Ysidro Health has two HIV Coordinated Services Centers –
CASA HIV Program ( Coordinated, Assistance, Services and Advocacy ) in the South Region and Our Place HIV Program in the Southeastern Region.
These centers offer a comprehensive array of quality HIV services in a caring and supportive environment.
UCSD Mother-Child-Adolescent HIV Program (MCA)
Comprehensive, family centered HIV program for women, children and youth – with a multidisciplinary team of HIV specialists, including medical care, clinical research trials, patient education, counseling, case management, peer advocacy, and community education.
