Balboa Naval Medical Center
Balboa Naval Medical Center is the one of the facilities the military offers as a medical source for all veterans. Located on Florida Drive, adjacent to Balboa Park, Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) , is the Pride of Navy Medicine. The hospital has played a vital role in the history of San Diego for more than 80 years. From the original tent dispensary established in 1917, to the high-tech, ultra modern facility of the 1990s, the mission has remained constant to provide the finest medical care in a family-centered care environment to the operational forces, their families, and to those who served their country in the past.
Being Alive
It is the mission of Being Alive San Diego to deliver quality, compassionate services to people affected by HIV and AIDS; and to provide education and referral services to those in need. The Agency's goal is not just to help people living with HIV/AIDS, but to help them live well.
Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD)
These facilities are offering primary comprehensive HIV care, prevention, LGBTQ health services such as programs specifically designed for gay men of color, Prep navigation, transgender-informed health care, free HIV testing, ADAP enrollment, case management, dental and hygiene care, education and prevention, LGBTQ services, medical care, OA-HIPP enrollment, peer advocacy, Ryan White Care and transgender health.
National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC)
NMAC leads with race to urgently fight for health equity and racial justice to end the HIV epidemic in America. America is a just, innovative and compassionate country for people living with and at-risk for HIV.
San Ysidro Health Centers (SYHC) (Copy)
San Ysidro Health has two HIV Coordinated Services Centers – CASA HIV Program ( Coordinated, Assistance, Services and Advocacy ) in the South Region and Our Place HIV Program in the Southeastern Region. These centers offer a comprehensive array of quality HIV services in a caring and supportive environment.
The San Diego LGBT Community Center (The Center)
The Center provided more than 84,000 direct service visits to San Diego community members, and through its events, activities and advocacy, touched the lives of thousands more.
UCSD Antiviral Research Center (AVRC)
The AntiViral Research Center (AVRC) HQ develops and conducts innovative research that enhances the quality and duration of life for people living with or affected by HIV infection and other infections of global significance. The award-winning research center is an established leader in San Diego’s HIV research community and is well known for its HIV testing programs. Internationally, the AVRC extends its research and education programs to Africa, Asia, and South America.
VA Special Infectious Disease Program (SPID)
Our vets deserve nothing more than the best! Special Infectious Disease Program (SPID) located in La Jolla, CA (a hilly, seaside neighborhood within the city of San Diego) at the VA Medical Center (really more of a hospital). Services include HIV diagnoses and treatment for the health of the veteran.
