Most of POZabilities’ events will offer an opportunity for socialization. In order to combat isolation and loneliness we also program specific events on a periodic basis to offer folks an opportunity to gather together for holidays together or to share new experiences. These may involve a communal meal, travel to a museum or other locale or celebrate a significant event. Here are a few of the social events from 2024:

• Beach Picnic at Ocean Beach

• Flamingle, a fundraiser for POZabilities by Terry Summers, themed around the wonderful pink critters!

• Jerry and John’s birthday and Retirement Party, celebrating their birthdays and Jerry’s retirement from POZabilities.

• Brad Truax Awards. POZabilities won last years awards so Jerry Turner presented this years award for outstanding service to the San Diego HIV community
