How to fight frailty and other effects of aging with HIV
This is a great article by TheBody magazine on strategies to impact the accelerated effects of aging on people with HIV. One of the key messages is, as we have consistently promoted, exercise and nutrition. The studies referenced here are some of the reasons we have created the NeXT program providing access to group training, T’ai Chi and Nutrition classes and counseling for the Long Term Survivors community in San Diego.

I hope each of you will take action to at least improve your level of exercise and pay attention to the impacts of diet on your health. It doesn’t matter if you are old or young, they key is to start and continue at least some level of exercise. The wHO and NIH recommend at least 150 minutes of activity per week. More of this from NIH specific to PLWH here.
Enjoy and Keep it Moving!
