San Ysidro Health’s Department of Behavioral Health Services (BHS) is a patient-centered, integrated primary care program dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of our community’s traditionally underserved children, adolescents, adults and older adults.

Dental Health

Dental Services for Children
Pediatric dentists are specifically trained to provide comprehensive dental care services to infants and children, including children with special needs.  Dental services for children ages 6 months to 13 years include: routine and periodic dental exams; cleanings; fluoride treatments; sealants; comprehensive treatment services, such as fillings, crowns, extractions and space maintenance.  San Ysidro Health also conducts outreach to pre-schools, elementary schools and WIC Nutrition Centers to provide oral health screenings and preventive dental care to young children.

Endodontics
Services will focus on root canal treatments and re-treatment, endodontic surgery, treating traumatic dental injuries, and, in cases where the original teeth may not be saved, dental implants.

Orthodontics
Services will focus on orthodontic assessments, diagnostics and diagnostic casting, and the application and adjustment of orthodontic treatment including brackets, bands, arch wires, headgear and/or palatal expanders.

Medical Health

San Ysidro Health (formerly San Ysidro Health Center) is a non-profit organization committed to providing high quality, compassionate, accessible and affordable health care services for the entire family.

The mission of San Ysidro Health is to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve with access for allOriginally established along the border in 1969, the organization was founded by seven women in search of medical services for their children.  Fifty years later, San Ysidro Health now provides innovative services to more than 107,000 lives in our care through a vast and integrated network of 42 program sites across San Diego County including: medical and dental clinics, behavioral health centers, HIV centers, WIC nutrition centers, mobile medical units, school-based health centers, chiropractic services, pediatric developmental clinic, teen clinic, senior health center and Program for All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE).

CASA (Coordinated, Assistance, Services and Advocacy) is a Coordinated Services Center dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for people living with HIV / AIDS and for their families.

We recognize that learning to live with HIV / AIDS can be challenging, which is why CASA offers a comprehensive array of quality HIV services in a caring, supportive environment where guests can feel at home, amongst friends and family.

Our Place HIV Program

Our Place is a one stop shop for HIV services and information offered in a warm, home-like setting which promotes social interaction and encourages recreational activities. Our Place offers assistance and linkages to HIV medical care and treatment, case management, as well as providing application assistance to a variety of programs including Ryan White and ADAP. Also provides counseling for HIV-positive individual clients, couples, families and groups, including relapse prevention and early recovery therapy as well as a variety of culturally relevant and linguistically appropriate support groups are offered to encourage peer support and interaction.
